True You

The true you.........do you even know that person or did you get buried  or not even found?  Are you living with what you think you would like to be?  Are you just a shell & are empty on the inside? Do you lack confidence to be you?  Were you told not to be who you are?

Not knowing who we are can leave us with a lack of confidence & a ton of questions & may lead us down the wrong path in life, when all you are trying to do is just fit in somewhere.

Once you are walking in your true self  & knowing who you are, you will have more self confidence.  Being in-line with your true self can give you a new flow with life.  Even relationships will be different.  Life in general will look & be different.   You may even feel free.   When we are not walking in our true self, it can feel like we are being oppressed, a heavy burden is keeping us locked down.

I would love to help you find your true self.

Pride & Arrogance

This post goes a long with "High Horse" post.   It's about how we present ourselves around other people.   Do you get along with others or do you have conflicts with others, a lot?   This might be because of pride/arrogance/high horse attitude we carry.   No body likes to be around a person that carries those personality traits.

Pride is linked to our ego. It is satisfaction of our own abilities & possessions.  Pride is an unhealthy view of our own gifts & abilities.  It rejects criticism.   Please don't get confused by thinking I'm saying it is unhealthy to have self confidence.  Self confidence is very healthy.  There is a fine line between self confidence & pride.  We must be careful not to cross that fine line.  Self confidence is a healthy view of one's own gifts & abilities, it can take criticism & uses it to better themselves.

Arrogance is an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or presumptuous claims or assumptions.   Arrogance is undesirable traits as being disagreeable, aggressive,  having low or brittle self-esteem & prone to shame.   Arrogance tries to protect your own ego, self -worth, hide insecurities, lack of confidence & fear of rejection.  It is also often associated with narcissistic personality disorder.  People with this disorder have intense, unstable emotions & a distorted self-image.   The opposite of arrogance is humility.  Humility is being free from pride/arrogance/high horse.  Don't be a door mat,  humility with self-confidence is the right balance.

With the information given here, you may be able to relate, a pattern might be starting to show here.  Wounds can be healed.   Skills can be learned to grow in areas that we struggle in.   Sometimes we need help from other people to grow or receive healing in areas.

Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking is a very heavy topic to talk about.  Some may not want to talk about it & some even deny it is happening around where they live.  Sad to say it is all around us.  Yes, even in the United States, it's just not another country far way or what horror films are made of.

My family & church family have been praying & trying to bring this darkness into light.  I'll be sharing a lot of links to information either about it or where you can go for help if you are in it or know someone who is involved it will be later in this blog post.

There is hope in this dark problem.  There is help.  We all can make a difference.   It's not just about the victims who are locked into this.  But the people who hold the victims prisoners & the people who buy the victims.  We can pray for them all.  There is help for them all.   I know it is hard to not want death to those who imprison the victims & for those who buy the victims.  I'm not saying they get off Scott Free.   But I'm saying let's get to the root of the problem.

Getting to the root of the problem will help end this.  How do we view life & lives?!  How do we value each other?  It's just a start.

Here's a link to Focus on the Family. They have some bible verses that talk about human trafficking.

Here are the links on Human Trafficking, some are info on it & some are help links.

Hope, do you have it? Part 2

After looking into Joy, I was lead to look into Hope.  We use the word hope a lot.  But do we really know what it means or use it correctly?

 Merriam Webster Dictionary describes it-

intransitive verb- 1 : to cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true hopes for a promotion hoping for the best I hope so.

transitive verb- 1 : to desire with expectation of obtainment or fulfillment I hope she remembers. hopes to be invited 2 : to expect with confidence : trust Your mother is doing well, I hope.

Definition of hope 1 archaic : trust, reliance 2 a : desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment came in hopes of seeing you; also : expectation of fulfillment or success no hope of a cure when they were young and full of hope b : someone or something on which hopes are centered our only hope for victory c : something desired or hoped (see 1hope) for great hopes for the coming year

Hope  the expectation of future good.   Hope is tied with trust, confidence, anticipation.   I have found hope in the feeling of security, safety,  a place of refuge & faith.  When we have hope in something that is a strong foundation we feel very confident.   But what if we have hope in something that is not of a strong foundation?  False hope is dangerous.   How do we know what we have hope in is a solid foundation?

Facing Pain

Facing your past hurts or choices is never easy.   Sometimes it is to heavy & hard to face by yourself.    But trusting someone else to see the hurts & past choices may be to much for you to deal with.  It takes a lot to let someone in to help hold your hand to face pain.  Only you can let someone in to your walls to help you carry the burdens.

When letting people in to the walls it feels like it is to much to carry & do.  But once you take the first steps, some of the pressure is released.  Each step you take it is easier to breath.

Are You Mad At God?

Are you mad at God?

That's a loaded question.   If your Christian do you dare say yes out loud if you are??!!   If you are mad at God, He knows already.

There is no shame or guilt to be had, if you are.    Let's look at the why are you mad at God.   That is where you may want to jot the things down on paper so you can keep track.

You can talk with God about each one.   You might want to think about asking for forgiveness for each thing you wrote down.

Something Blocking You?

Have any goals in life & having problems reaching them?

Is there something always blocking you?   Do you feel like you keep hitting the ceiling & can not get pass it, no matter what you try or do?

Sometimes there can be something holding us back or blocking us that we had no idea that could.  It could be something in our own thinking or something else?

When we know there is something we need to be doing but are unable to move forward to do it, can be very frustrating.   The blocks can be caused by our own thinking, word vows from the past,  principles of life not being applied or something else.

Unwanted Patterns

Noticed any patterns in your life you want to stop?

Some of the patterns could have been passed down from generation to generation.   Or you started our own. It could be how you think to the food choices you pick.  Sometimes it takes fresh eyes to help see where the pattern might have started or the steps of the pattern.

Start by looking at what you want to change.  Write it down, this helps to stay focus on one thing at a time.   Then keep your eyes open during your day to see what might trigger the pattern to start, write that down.   Jot notes down what happens during the pattern.   How do you feel during it, will be good to write down also.  Look over what you wrote down to see if you notice the pattern anywhere else in your life or your family life.  Information is powerful when you are looking to change your life.   Contact me, I can help.

Ungodly Vows

Ungodly vows or word curses over us can block us from daily goals/ life goals/even from God.  We can come under them from us speaking or thinking it is truth.

When ungodly vows are made we can enter into curses on us & generations to come.  Ungodly vows can be pass down from past generations.

Sorting out what is in line with God & what He has for us is not as hard as we might think.   It is easier with help & fresh eyes.   It goes along with when your in the middle of it, you are unable to see clearly but someone from the outside looking in can be helpful.

An example of an ungodly vow is, "I can't do anything right."   That is far from truth.   We can make small vows/word curses that have an impact on our lives.   It can be freeing to remove them from our lives.

Taking control of our thoughts is a step to line us with truth.  If our thoughts are free to run with whatever pops into our head without questioning where it comes from & is the thought lined up with truth makes a difference.

With ungodly vows & ungodly thoughts removed from us & truth is in us, we can then move forward in our lives in areas we were locked down before.  Some have even said," It was like a weight was removed from their shoulders."

Bitterness & Unforgiveness

Are you carrying bitterness & unforgiveness?

Ephesians 4:31 NIV
" Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice."

Bitterness & unforgiveness can eat us alive.  Forgiveness is not for the person you are upset with or mad at.  It's for you to walk in & live peaceful.  Forgiveness is not letting the person who caused you pain the free pass to cause you more pain in the future. Each person is accountable for their actions & words.

 Colossians 3:13 [Full Chapter] NIV

"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

Bitterness & unforgiveness can cause our filter of information coming in & going out to be tainted.  Once we clean out the bitterness & forgive, we will have a new view on how we filter information.  Then other people interactions with us will be completely different.   The new filter will be like new eyes.

Keeping our heart pure from bitterness & unforgiveness helps keep our relationship circuits running in our heads.   With the relationship circuits running, we can communicate better with each other.
