Do you feel lost in the woods when shopping for clothes for yourself?
I needed some more jeans so I went to the store to get some. I thought very simple task, should have a couple pairs with in an hour or less. NO! I was wrong!!! Some of you are thinking, been there.
After going to a few stores with no luck finding a pair that fit my body comfortably, I was really getting mad & flustered. I went on the web to search out answers. This is what I found, I measured my hips & waste & then went to Levi's, Wranglers & a few other brand name companies sites. From company to company the sizes for my measures went from 14 to 22, that's a difference between sizes. I heard before different companies fit differently but this is getting out of hand. Then we can add that the length comes in different lengths, that is not a big deal.
With this new info, I went back to the stores armed with the new info. I did have better luck shopping. I did get some jeans, jeans that fit comfortably & looked good on me. When I was trying on the different types & sizes of jeans, I found this out too!! Not all same name brand sizes fit the same. I had the same size from the same company, but they changed the size fitting with in themselves. Very confusing right!!! Let me try to clear up the confusion, I gabbed 3 pairs of size 14 from the same name brand, 2 pair I had not problem putting on, one pair I could not even get the top of the waste line button closer to meet. It was a good 2 inches away!!! This confirms it, nothing wrong or odd about my body. It is the companies that are making the clothes for us women.
Women have enough to deal with in our lives, we really don't need to become a master of this puzzling game of clothes. Clothes shopping should be fun & relaxing!!! To all the women out there trying to find the right fitting jeans or any form of clothes, you are not alone!! It's not you but the clothes companies not being consistent.

True You
The true you.........do you even know that person or did you get buried or not even found? Are you living with what you think you would like to be? Are you just a shell & are empty on the inside? Do you lack confidence to be you? Were you told not to be who you are?
Not knowing who we are can leave us with a lack of confidence & a ton of questions & may lead us down the wrong path in life, when all you are trying to do is just fit in somewhere.
Once you are walking in your true self & knowing who you are, you will have more self confidence. Being in-line with your true self can give you a new flow with life. Even relationships will be different. Life in general will look & be different. You may even feel free. When we are not walking in our true self, it can feel like we are being oppressed, a heavy burden is keeping us locked down.
I would love to help you find your true self.

Music
Music can create feelings/emotions/bring back memories/be a building spot for memories/bring you to worship/give words when you had none. Music is a very powerful thing. It can bring to peace or rise you to war. What does music do for you?
We all have that song or a couple that speaks to us, move us, help us find words, brought us to tears, or help us express how we feel towards one another. Music can be a powerful tool.
With all the different styles, bands, "old school" vs new, etc., there is something for everyone. This is not about religious music verse worldly music, or what is better than another. But let's look at the emotions/feelings/thoughts/words that you are having that is stirred up from the music. What is locked down deep with in us? Music can be a key to those things. Don't be scared not everything deep down in us is "bad".
Sometimes ourselves are locked deep down. Are you in touch with yourself, true self? Do you know your true self? Have you been ever told not to be yourself or let anyone know who you are truly?
If you are not your true self & like to be, I can help.

Pride & Arrogance
This post goes a long with "High Horse" post. It's about how we present ourselves around other people. Do you get along with others or do you have conflicts with others, a lot? This might be because of pride/arrogance/high horse attitude we carry. No body likes to be around a person that carries those personality traits.
Pride is linked to our ego. It is satisfaction of our own abilities & possessions. Pride is an unhealthy view of our own gifts & abilities. It rejects criticism. Please don't get confused by thinking I'm saying it is unhealthy to have self confidence. Self confidence is very healthy. There is a fine line between self confidence & pride. We must be careful not to cross that fine line. Self confidence is a healthy view of one's own gifts & abilities, it can take criticism & uses it to better themselves.
Arrogance is an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or presumptuous claims or assumptions. Arrogance is undesirable traits as being disagreeable, aggressive, having low or brittle self-esteem & prone to shame. Arrogance tries to protect your own ego, self -worth, hide insecurities, lack of confidence & fear of rejection. It is also often associated with narcissistic personality disorder. People with this disorder have intense, unstable emotions & a distorted self-image. The opposite of arrogance is humility. Humility is being free from pride/arrogance/high horse. Don't be a door mat, humility with self-confidence is the right balance.
With the information given here, you may be able to relate, a pattern might be starting to show here. Wounds can be healed. Skills can be learned to grow in areas that we struggle in. Sometimes we need help from other people to grow or receive healing in areas.

Communicate
Are you having problem communicating with any one or everyone? No matter how hard you try it just is not working & is adding to a bigger problem? The problem could be girl vs boy language or something else. Do you know how to tell the difference? How do you fix the problem?
Communication is a skill that can be learned at any age, not everyone knows of the skills, or they only know part & some do know all of the skills. No matter where you fit in that, communication can be tricky when trying to communicate with others, whom may be at different levels of communication.
Do you know how to keep communication going when you & the other person don't see eye to eye on a subject matter, when emotions tend to be high or you don't care for what is being talked about? How do you keep communication going?
To communicate is to get someone to understand what you are thinking & feeling. To communicate is not to get them to go a long with whatever you are thinking & feeling, but to understand where you are coming from & they are doing the same with you.
Remember your opinion/thought/feelings/emotions are all yours & not everyone else. We can all have our own & still be able to communicate with each other & not have relationship break downs.
Communication works best when everyone is not over flowing with their emotions. All of the relationship wiring in your head needs to be up & running. Our emotions, when over flowing, can get in the way of this.

Dry Winter Air
What to do when the
winter air is dry. Your skin is drying
out, cracking, flaking & itchy. Your hair is frizzing, dry, static filled,
flying away & not lying flat?
You can spend tons
of money & time on product to put on your skin & hair. Sometimes finding the right product for your
her problem & type of hair you have.
I found that some of the products out there "fixed" the one
problem but made another. So what do we
do then?
I researched &
tried different stuff. In my research I
found some good tips to apply to me at least, but will share in case you had no
idea about them.
First tip: Turn the
temp on the shower water down. I
understand the need for a hot hot
shower. I have been there. But for the hot hot shower time keep your
hair out of it. With the cooler temps
it will help with the itch dry skin.
Second tip: After
the shower towel dry your hair & add a little oil. Yes, oil!!
You can use olive oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil, just for some
examples. When you use oil, please start
with a very small amount, you can add more as you go. Start with the ends & work your way up
from there. I keep the oil away from my scalp. I don't need extra oil
there. I needed it at my ends & up
from there. Comb or brush your hair from
the ends & work your way up. This
will help spread it through your hair. Rub the oil in your hands to put it on
your hair. Then you can spread it on
your face if you needed it there or other places on your body.
Third tip: Have a
spray bottle with water in it, in the bathroom. I spray water on my dry hair to help get rid
of the dry frizz fly away & then style it.
Then through my day, when I go to use the bathroom after I wash my
hands, I use the water from my hands, I apply it to my hair. The reason for the touch ups is great because
my hair is getting dried out during the day & needs a little refreshing
drink.
Fourth tip: Wash
hair less! And skip the conditioners.
Conditioners may be adding to your problem.
Over washing stripes the natural hair oil from your hair & dries it
out.
Fifth tip: Skip the
blow dryer. If you must use it, use the
lower heat temp for a shorter time. If
you use the curling Irons, Flat Irons etc. it's drying out our hair. I understand you use them for styling your
hair. Look into different hair styles
that don't use them. Youtube different
hair styles, you'll be surprised how many videos are out there, type in your
hair length & hair do's!!
Sixth tip: Give your
hair a break from being styled & everything else you might do to your hair
& let it rest a day or two at least a week. Wear it down, or put a scarf/bandana on it!
Seventh tip: What
are you eating to build up your hair from the inside out. It will help your skin too! Drink lots of water! Balanced healthy diet will help your whole
body & heath.
Don't look for
results to happen overnight. Some
damage might take time to repair your hair & fix the problems. I did not touch to much on skin care. These tips can help some with the dry skin in
the winter. Some skin problems may need
a little different care & help. It's
a little starting point for skin care.
Enjoy your journey to healthier hair & skin.
