Meneire's & CBD Oil update

Update on the CBD Oil, I ran out & had a few bigger events of Meneire's.  I'm back on it & I'm upping the dosage.  So far I have noticed more benefits for Meneire's with using the CBD Oil more.   It has helped with some of my other aches & pains also.   I have noticed more relief for the nausea with the increased dosage.  During the night, I woke up with nausea, took some of the CBD Oil & went back to bed, didn't have to use the anti barf pills.

With the CBD OIL helping with the nausea, that will make me be able to take less of the anti barf pills, that make me sleepy to the point of deep sleep where I sit.  Then being a "zombie" the next day.

With less "zombie" time, I should be able to be more active.  If my activity cause me to be dizzy & nauseousness, I can use the CBD Oil for the nausea & just sit while the dizziness slows down.

My "more activity" is  just more moving around the house, doing normal chores. It's not the glorified fun yet.  Hopefully I will be able to get to the more glorified fun as I get a better handle on the Meneire's.   One step at a time.

My husband found some vertigo pills on amazon. We order it to see if it helps too.  I'll keep ya posted if it helps or not.

Meneire's & CBD OIl

With dealing with Meneire's for a few years now, I have tried different medicines to help deal with it.  I have came to the end of the different medicines, next step is to rise the dosage of the one I'm on now or go for the steroid shot in the ear drum.  So far I don't have to go that far.  I have noticed the other ear starting to show signs of Meneire's also.

I have been looking into more natural ways to help me with the Meneires's.  I started using CBD Oil.  I have researched & talked with my doctor about it.   My doctor said to get the highest quality I could afford & get it from a whole food store in town that can be trusted.   He has seen CBD Oil help a bunch of people that have different stuff going on with them than me.  I went to the store to see what was available & what I could afford.

I made a purchase, I started using the oil.  The first evening I started using it, I had to use some of my motion sickness pills during the night before, which makes me very tired for a few days.  Then I added some of the oil.  It made me very sleepy.  I had a very restful night.

I have not noticed any major differences,  but only been using the oil for two days.  I do have less ringing in my ears from time to time,  and less nausea.

I have noticed less body aches & pains in the morning after rolling out of bed, since taking the oil.  My restless leg syndrome is not as intense.  So the oil is helping my body in other areas besides the original reason for making the purchase.

I'm going to take the oil for at least a month to see if I have any major improvements with the Meneire's & do my best to keep all of you informed along the way.

Meneire's Disease part 2

After trying different medications & receiving some relief in my ear, but still having vertigo at least twice a week, falling & near falls (family members caught me before going down) my ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat specialist) informed me that the Meneire's was not uncontrolled if I was still having vertigo twice a week.  That was a shock & a bit of a let down for me.

He then informed me that I am down to one more medication to try before having to move to injections into my ear & proceeded to explain it to me.  I think I turned a couple colors of white.  I hope I never come to that.

As of now, the medication is working.  Thank God!!!!  The ringing in my ears, can not be fixed.  But the vertigo is less, still happens for time to time.  I have sprained my ankle big time & trying to recover from that.  It was sprained from rolling it, not a dizzy spell & passing out.   Now in PT for that, hoping for no surgery.

Meneire's Disease

After over a year with dealing with vertigo, finally have more information on what is going on.

After multiple doctor visits, physical therapy & vision therapy (which all did help), I was finally diagnosis with Meneire's disease.
If you wish to know more about Meneire's Disease, google it.  I will like to share just my point of view  of living with it.

I had mix emotions on being diagnosed with Meneire's Disease.  First was a relief to know what was going on.  Then sad to know there is no cure, just managing it.   I'm only in the first stage of it.  And I really don't want to go to any of the other stages if it's going to get worst as it goes.

Grateful that I have a really good support team be hind me during this.   When it's a bad day for me, I can just focus on me & what I need.  My team also steps up to take care of me & whatever I'm not able to do that day.

It has been hard dealing with the limits that I have now.  After being able to do whatever, whenever I wanted, to gotta plan out everything.  With low energy, bad memory, balance comes & goes, headaches & ear pain, nausea,  vision gets weird at times, anxiety levels are higher just to name a few that I have been dealing with for over a year ever day.

Trying different meds to help deal with some of this stuff & then the side effects of the meds.  Just trying to find the new balance of things.  And that can very from day to day.

The new plan is to slow life way down, pick carefully what I really want to do each day.  Also plan each day down time to rest or nap.  Avoid loud places is a must.   Loud places & noises really hurt my ears, it's like a sharp ice pick going into my ear.  Not to mention the effect of cold on the ear.  OUCH!!!!!   But I need the cold cause of how hot I can get.  Thankfully I got some warm ear coverings for Christmas. I can keep my ear covered, it helps muffles loud noises & it's not a hat that keeps my head hot & heat in.

It's little things that help make Meneire's Disease more manageable.  Watching my salt intake helps to with pain in the ear.   If you think you may have Meneire's Disease, please talk to your primary doctor.

Communication

Communication is a very important key in relationships.   Think about it, even if a person does not have the ability to verbally speak, there is Sign Language to aide in communication!!  Sign Language  was created before texting & any other tech stuff was created to help speak for those who can not.

The song written by Paul Simon, "The Sound of Silence", has a verse in it that real drives home what is happening with communication today,
 ".....Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share....".    People want to be heard but are not listening to each other.   People are so bent on being heard & being right, people are stop listening to what the other person is saying.    When the ears & hearts of the people close, communication dies.

Without communication there is no forward motion in relationships or the world!  To be in communication with each other does not mean you have to agree with everything the other person is saying, thinking or feeling.   Just hear them out.   They might surprise ya with something.  Who knows what they are saying just might help out with what you are saying.

I pray for better communication in your relationships & through out the world.
